Marco Razo
My paintings are circumstantial; they reflect parts of my life story, images that unravel in my mind and remain captured on the canvas. The fundamental task of the artist is to translate everyday reality into symbols, creating a personal language. (Jorge Luis Borges). My painting process is a blend of intuition and reason. When I start a painting, I do it on the intuitive level, almost playing with colors. As the painting develops, I become immersed in the composition, where it becomes more analytical, seeking a balance between intuition and reason. The themes of my work are rooted in literature, poetry, philosophy, and cinema, drawing inspiration from Mexican popular culture.
